Upon making satisfactory showing to the Mayor, the City Clerk shall issue said license. The license shall continue for and during the period of one year from the date of the issuance thereof, and said license shall be in conformity with the licenses issued in other cities within the State, and shall have pasted thereon a picture of said operator and the license number shall appear in bold numbers in the upper right-hand corner thereof. No taxicab shall operate upon any of the public streets, alleys, avenues and public ways of this City without the display of said license. (1988 Code § 9-902; amd. 2000 Code)
