10-4-1: OBEDIENCE TO TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICES:
   A.   It shall be unlawful for any driver of a vehicle to disobey the instructions of an official traffic device placed in accordance with the provisions of this Title unless at the time otherwise directed by a police officer. Any driver violating the provisions of this Section shall be fined not less than seventy five dollars ($75.00). Failure to pay this fine within ten (10) days shall result in an additional penalty of seventy five dollars ($75.00). (Ord. 0-97-85, 12-15-1997, eff. 1-1-1998)
   B.   No provisions of this Title for which signs are required shall be enforced against an alleged violator if at the time and place of the alleged violation an official sign is not in proper position and sufficiently legible to be seen by an ordinarily observant person. Whenever a particular section does not state that signs are required, such section shall be effective even though no signs are erected or in place. (Ord. 0-77-17, 6-7-1977)
