A. Charitable solicitations on streets or roads within the City are hereby permitted subject to the provisions of Public Act 81-29 1 . All of the provisions of said Public Act 81-29 regarding the regulation of persons soliciting on highways, streets and roadways are hereby incorporated by reference and are found to be specifically applicable to any and all charitable solicitors in the City.
B. Any and all charitable solicitors that qualify as a charitable organization as required in subsection A of this Section, will also be required to post evidence of financial responsibility or show evidence of liability insurance in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00), and will be required to indemnify the City and any and all of its officials from any liability incurred as a result of allowing such organization to solicit under the provisions of this Section.
C. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Section shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in an amount not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each such offense. (Ord. 0-80-20, 6-2-1980)
