A. License Required: No person shall operate or conduct a laundry in the city without first having obtained a license therefor; provided, that establishments licensed as dry cleaning establishments need not obtain a laundry license in addition to the dry cleaning license. Application for such license shall be made in accordance with the general regulations of the city ordinances relating thereto. (Ord. 0-77-24, 11-7-1977)
B. License Fee: The annual fee for a laundry license shall be sixty six dollars ($66.00). Public restroom inspection is an additional one hundred fifteen dollars fifty cents ($115.50). (Ord. 0-02-09, 4-1-2002, eff. 4-11-2002; amd. Ord. 0-09-07, 3-13-2009)
C. Sanitation Requirements: Premises used for laundries must be kept in a clean and sanitary condition. No refuse of any kind shall be permitted to accumulate on such premises; and the premises must be kept free from rats, mice and vermin. It shall be unlawful to employ any person afflicted with a venereal disease or any contagious disease in a laundry. (Ord. 0-77-24, 11-7-1977)
