The annual fees for such licenses shall be sixty six dollars ($66.00) per year for each such paint and oil dealer whose store or other place of business occupies two thousand (2,000) square feet or less of area. For paint and oil dealers whose stores or other place of business occupy in excess of two thousand (2,000) square feet of area, an additional fee of forty four dollars ($44.00) shall be added for each one thousand (1,000) square feet of area or part thereof; provided, however, that the license fee shall in no case exceed the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00).
