1511.04  ASSESSMENT OF FIRE SERVICE/PROTECTION FEES.
   (a)   The City of Princeton Fire Department is hereby authorized to charge reasonable reimbursement fees, as hereinafter set, for services performed in connection with firefighting, victim rescue or cleanup of debris or hazardous materials by department personnel.  Said fees may be charged only to insurance companies responsible or liable for payment for such service, or private individuals/businesses who are not current in payment due to the Mercer County Fire Service Board for annual fire service fees.  Provided, however, that no fees for any single incident or accident shall exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00), except an incident or accident involving hazardous materials and/or hazardous waste clean-up or control.  Any fees charged pursuant to this authority must be in writing and itemized by specific services rendered with the rate for each service shown.
   (b)   Subject to the provisions above, the fire department is authorized to charge the following reimbursement fees for each of the services listed:
(1)   Structure fires.
$500.00
(2)    Vehicle accident/vehicle fires.
$250.00 for the first hour.
$125.00 for each additional hour
after the first.
(3)   Service calls.
$25.00 per hour
(4)   First responder services.
$50.00 per hour
(5)   Extraction service.
   A.   Jaws of life and other
motorized equipment
$150.00 per hour
   B.   Hand tools
$25.00
(6)   Hazardous material/waste service (Haz Mat.)
$250.00 per hour for each
vehicle dispatched to incident.
(7)   Special materials and equipment.
May be billed at the actual
replacement cost to the department.
   (c)   Should any section, subsection, fee or provision of this ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the ordinance as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so declared invalid or unconstitutional.
   (d)   The Fire Department may charge or seek reimbursement, in any form, from the county or its commission for the fees authorized by this section.
