715.03  REGISTRATION FEE.
   (a)    Upon all General Contractors doing a gross business of more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) annually, a registration fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) is hereby imposed.
   (b)    In determining the gross business of a General Contractor, the previous year shall be used to determine whether or not a General Contractor has done a gross business of more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), provided the General Contractor has been in business for one full year prior to his application for a registration.
   (c)    In the event a General Contractor is starting into business in the City of Princeton for the first time, the General Contractor's estimate shall be accepted and shall be verified by the General Contractor at the end of his first year of business in the City and if his estimate did not exceed twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) and his verification shows that he did more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) gross business at the end of the first year, then the General Contractor shall be liable for an additional forty-five dollar ($45.00) fee.
   (d)    Any person contracting for or performing any service for a fee, shall be considered a Contractor and shall be liable for a five dollar ($5.00) registration fee.
