(a) No person under the age of eighteen shall be upon the streets or in other public places of the City between the hours of 12:00 midnight and sunrise, unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or some adult person lawfully in charge of such minor.
(b) No parent, guardian or other person having the custody of a person under the age of eighteen years, shall allow such minor to be upon the streets or in other public places in the City between the hours of 12:00 midnight and sunrise unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or some adult person lawfully in charge of such minor.
(c) The provisions of this section shall not be so construed as to prohibit persons under eighteen years of age from going to and from work, unaccompanied by a parent, guardian or other adult person; nor shall this section apply to high school students attending school functions or small gatherings after athletic events prior to 1:00 a.m.; nor shall this section apply to persons under the age of eighteen years who are legally married.
(d) Any child found in violation of this section shall be taken to the City Hall and the parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be notified to come to the City Hall and take personal charge of the child. The child shall be released only to such parent, guardian or person in loco parentis, or to the juvenile authorities. Any child found in violation of this section shall be held for the juvenile authorities for proper disposition.
(e) Any parent, guardian or person in loco parentis who permits any child to violate this section shall, upon the first offense, be warned; upon the second offense the parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be fined not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and upon any subsequent offense the parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.00).
