301.33  FIRE LANES.
   (a)    No person shall at any time stop, park, or leave standing unattended any motor vehicle in a designated fire lane on public or private property within the corporate limits of the City. Such fire lane shall be accessible to Fire Department apparatus by way of access roadways with all- weather driving surface of not less than twenty feet of unobstructed width, with adequate roadway turning radius capable of supporting the imposed loads of fire apparatus and having a minimum vertical clearance of twelve feet. Fire lane shall be properly designated “Fire Lane - No Parking” durably painted in yellow traffic paint in letters not less than twelve inches in height on the surface of such fire lane.
   (b)    The Fire Prevention Officer shall designate the location of the fire lane.
   (c)    Whenever any police officer finds a vehicle standing in a fire lane on public or private property in violation of this section, such officer is hereby authorized to move and/or ticket such vehicle or require the driver or other person in charge of the vehicle to move the same to a position outside the designated fire lane. In the case of a fire related emergency, the senior fire officer on duty is hereby authorized to move such vehicle or require the driver or other person in charge of the vehicle to move the same to a position outside the designated fire lane.    (d)    Any person violating the provisions of this section or the provisions of the State Fire Code as adopted by Article 1511 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Princeton concerning fire lanes, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars; upon a second conviction within one year thereafter, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars; and upon a third or subsequent conviction, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars.
