301.04  TRAFFIC CONTROL.. 
   (a)   Any changes to rules, regulations, laws, or restrictions affecting the use of streets, avenues, roads, alleys, ways, sidewalks, and crosswalks shall be made by one of the following two methods:
      (1)   Ordinance, resolution, or motion of Council; or
      (2)   Recommendation of the Chief of Police, subject to approval of the City Manager and confirmation by Council at its next ensuing regular meeting.
   (b)   Upon any change made pursuant to (a)(2) hereof, the Chief of Police shall obtain the written approval of the City Manager to make such change immediately.  Upon such approval the Chief of Police shall cause proper signs and/or markings designating such change, and thereupon said change shall be in effect.  The change shall be presented to Council at its next regularly scheduled meeting for confirmation or rejection.  In the event Council rejects the change, the signs and marking shall be removed, and from and after such rejection only, such change shall be void and the prior provision shall be in effect.  (Passed 2-13-17.)
