Each member of the Sanitary Board shall receive a salary and shall be entitled to payment for his reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of his duties. City Council may at its will and pleasure change the amount of the salary of the Sanitary Board. The treasurer of the Sanitary Board, with whom the members of the Board shall hold joint control over all funds of the Board, shall be required to give bond conditioned upon the faithful performance of his duties as such treasurer and the faithful accounting of all money which may come into his hands as such treasurer and otherwise conditioned as required by law, in a sum deemed sufficient by the Board and with surety to be approved by the Board.
