143.01  ESTABLISHED; COMPOSITION; TERM; VACANCIES.
   There is hereby created a board to be known as The Board of Library Directors of Princeton, which shall consist of five directors who shall be appointed by City Council according to their fitness for such office. During the month of June of each year, one member of the Board shall be appointed for a term of five years, beginning on the first day of July following the year of his appointment, and continuing until his successor is appointed and qualified. Vacancies shall be filled by appointment by Council for the unexpired term. The City Manager shall be an ex-officio member of the Board of Library Directors. A director may be removed for just cause in the manner provided by the bylaws of the Board. No compensation shall be paid or allowed any director; however, necessary traveling expenses and other necessary expenses approved by the Board may be paid. (1975 Code Sec. 2-29; Passed 7-5-94.)
