SEC. 44. TEMPORARY JUDGE.

In the event of and during the temporary absence or disability of the Police Judge, the Council shall appoint a qualified voter to preside over said court, and perform the duties of the judge thereof. The compensation of the temporary judge shall be determined by the Council.
