(a) The criteria to be utilized in evaluating conditions that may warrant closure of any structure shall include, but not be limited to, conditions pertaining to exiting the structure, conditions pertaining to the protection of vertical openings, conditions pertaining to the protection of hazards, and conditions pertaining to alarm systems.
(b) The City of Princeton, through its agents and officials, may issue an order providing for the closure of any structure when there has been a finding, through inspection or otherwise, that any condition exists with respect to such structure that violates any provision of any code applicable within the City of Princeton and the violation or violations pertain to the criteria identified above. There shall be no specific number of criteria required to be involved prior to the issuance of a closure order for a structure, such that closure may be ordered if conditions pertaining to all four (4) criteria are present or any combination thereof. Closure of a structure may be ordered if a condition pertaining to only one (1) criterion is present if there exists the potential for substantial injury or loss of life based upon the nature of the condition and the type of occupancy of the structure.
