For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
(a) "Private swimming pool" means and includes any artificially manufactured or constructed swimming pool or tank permanently or temporarily established or maintained upon any premises by any individual for his own use or his family's use or the use of guests of his household which has a capacity for a water depth of more than eighteen inches, and whether maintained above or below ground level.
(b) "Private wading pool" means and includes any artificially manufactured or constructed swimming pool or tank permanently or temporarily established or maintained upon any premises by any individual for his own use or his family's use or the use of guests of his household which has a capacity for a water depth of eighteen inches or less and whether maintained above or below ground level.
(c) "Public swimming pool" means and includes either outdoor or indoor pools which are artificially constructed to provide recreational facilities for swimming, bathing or wading for the use of the public or for use of the membership of any private club, group or organization.
