Persons 18 years of age and older who possess a valid current driver's license may operate a golf cart on the public highways within the town in strict compliance with this subchapter. Persons younger than 18 years of age who possess a valid current driver's license may operate a golf cart on the public highways within the town in strict compliance with this subchapter, only while accompanied in the golf cart by his or her parent or legal guardian who must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid current driver's license.
