This chapter shall not apply to the driver of any vehicle which is disabled while parked or standing in one of the prohibited areas as defined in § 71.03 in such a manner and to such an extent that it is impossible to avoid stopping and temporarily leaving the disabled vehicle in that position. If possible, the disabled vehicle shall display hazard lights.
