17-603: BILLING AND PAYMENT:
The charges for electric current sold to customers shall become due and payable in full at least once each month. Electric meters must be accessible to the city of Prague personnel for reading and service. If it is determined that the meter is inaccessible, the city manager shall have the authority to require the customer, at customer's expense, to relocate the service entry point to an accessible location as determined by the city manager or his designee. Said installation shall be in accordance with all provisions of the city's electrical codes. Charges are due and payable upon receipt of a bill. If payment is not made by the due date, a late payment charge of ten percent (10%) of the total bill due and owing will be added. If payment has not been received by the twenty fifth of the month, or a deferred payment arrangement made, the service will be discontinued for nonpayment. No other notice of disconnection of service will be required. This will apply regardless of whether or not the same parties occupy the premises where the electricity was used. Should service be discontinued because of nonpayment as herein provided, service will not again be provided for the person who originally made the application, in the same house or premises, until all arrears are paid together with the fee for disconnecting and connecting service lines. An additional deposit amount to be determined by the City Manager may also be required prior to restoration of service. (Ord. 409, 12-8-2008)
