A. As executed by the Board of County Commissioners of the County and the Mayor of the City, a City-County agreement for a joint civil defense administration is hereby adopted and made a part of this Chapter. In conjunction therewith:
1. The existing joint civil defense administration shall be extended and recognized to be the joint efforts of the City and County;
2. The City will share in the expense of carrying on a comprehensive civil defense program with the County including and extending beyond the initial contract, and the City agrees to provide, in conjunction with reciprocal agreement by the County, in its budget for sufficient funds with which to carry out this program of civil defense for the City and County and any adjacent areas deemed necessary;
3. The receipt and expenditure of all funds will be handled in conformity with the financial plans of the City-County civil defense organization as approved by appropriate County and City authorities in accordance with applicable State and Federal laws, rules and regulations; and
4. The Director shall coordinate with the Civil Defense Administration prior to the beginning of each fiscal year and prepare for submission to the City and County the prospective budget for its operation for the coming year. Then the proper officials of the City shall decide with the County upon the amount of such budgets. (1983 Code)
