13-211: SERVICE AUTHORIZED OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS:
The Fire Department of the City is hereby authorized and directed to answer all fire and other emergency calls outside the corporate limits of the City in an area at least, but not limited to, five (5) miles at the discretion of the Fire Chief. The Fire Chief may refuse to respond to such calls if, in his opinion, it is not expedient to do so on account of fire in the City, broken apparatus, impassable or dangerous highways, demands for firefighters or equipment elsewhere in the City, or other physical conditions which would make such response impractical and hazardous.
