A. The fire code shall be enforced by the fire department of the city, under the supervision of the chief of the fire department. The terms "bureau of fire prevention" and "chief of the bureau of fire prevention", wherever found in the fire code, shall mean fire department and chief of the fire department, respectively, of this city. Whenever the word "municipality" is used in the fire code, it means this city. Whenever the word "corporation counsel" is used in the code, it means the city attorney of this city.
B. The chief of the fire department may detail such members of the fire department as inspectors as may from time to time be necessary. (Prior code § 8-2)
