705.24 RECORDS AND REPORTS FOR AUTOMOBILE WRECKERS, SECOND-HAND DEALERS AND JUNK SHOPS.
   It shall be the duty of each person to whom a license is issued under Section 705.21 et seq. to keep a separate book open to inspection by any member of the Department of Police or any municipal officer, in which shall be written in the English language at the time of the purchase, exchange or receipt of any such second-hand articles, junk, used automobiles or automobile parts, accessories or any other articles or things, a description thereof, the name, description and residence of the person from whom purchased or received, and the date and hour when such purchase or exchange was made. The holder of such license shall further prepare and deliver on Monday of each week to the Chief of Police a legible and correct copy written in English, from such book, containing a description of each article, to include model and serial number, or thing purchased or received during the preceding week, the date and hour at which the purchase was made or the article or thing received, and a description of the person from whom it was purchased. Failure to keep the book required or to make the weekly report required herein shall be a misdemeanor. (Ord. 2003-55. Passed 6-9-03.)
