§ 72.06 PROHIBITING PARKING IN PUBLIC ALLEYWAYS.
   (A)   Purpose; definitions.
      (1)   The purpose of this section is to prohibit the parking of vehicles and trailers, as defined herein, upon any public alleyway in the city not expressly designated for a period of greater than one hour.
      (2)   For the purposes of this section:
         (a)   A VEHICLE shall be defined as a motorized conveyance intended to move passengers or cargo over the land or water.
         (b)   A TRAILER shall be defined as a conveyance used to transport [text missing].
         (c)   A BOAT TRAILER shall be defined as a trailer used to carry, store or transport a boat, watercraft or other conveyance intended to be used upon water, over the road.
         (d)   PARK shall refer to the instance of stopping in such a manner that movement is deliberately inhibited.
         (e)   A PUBLIC ALLEYWAY shall be defined as an alley dedicated to the public, a homeowners association, the City of Port Isabel or to Cameron County on a subdivision plat recorded with the Cameron County Clerk.
   (B)   Prohibition.
      (1)   It shall be a violation of this section for any person to park, cause to be parked or suffer to be parked, a boat trailer wholly or partly upon a public right-of-way for a period of greater than six hours.
      (2)   It shall not be a defense to a violation of this provision if the trailer has not moved more than 500 feet during the period of violation.
