§ 157.062 PORTABLE SIGNS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful to place any portable sign within the corporate limits of the city, including but not limited to public right-of-way, with the following exception:
      (1)   Nonconforming portable signs that were in place prior to December 17, 1985;
      (2)   Portable signs used as grand opening signs or specific events not to exceed 30 days; and
      (3)   A portable sign placed by an agency of the federal government, an agency of the state or a political subdivision of the state.
   (B)   A portable sign which is permitted under one of the exceptions above shall be anchored to the ground to prevent movement, and electrical connections shall meet the National Electrical Code requirement and shall be connected by a licensed electrician.
