§ 119.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   GAS or NATURAL GAS. Natural gas of approximately 1,000 BTU heating value and 0.6 specific gravity. The term does not include butane or propane.
   GAS COMPANY. Any person, firm or corporation holding and exercising a franchise to distribute natural gas within the city limits and supplying natural gas to any premises therein.
   GAS PIPING.
      (1)   All piping fixtures, appurtenances and appliances for a supply of natural gas for all personal or domestic purposes in and about buildings where a person or persons live, work or assemble; all piping, fixtures, appurtenances and appliances outside a building connecting the building with the source of natural gas supply on the premises, or the main in the street, alley or at the curb.
      (2)   The installation, repair and maintenance of all piping, fixtures, appurtenances and appliances in and about a building where a person or persons live, work or assemble, for a supply of natural gas.
   GAS SERVICE. The gas pipe leading from a main to a meter location or a meter.
   HOUSE PIPING. The gas piping leading away and extending from the curb line or the property line of the consumer, consuming appliance or appliances.
