It shall be unlawful for any person in any part of the city to make or cause to be made loud or disturbing noises with any mechanical devices operated by compressed air and used for the purpose of assisting braking on any semi-tractor, commonly referred to as “engine braking.” Proper notices or signs shall be posted by the city notifying the public of such prohibition.
