1480.01 PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL SWIMMING POOL DEFINED.

   As used in this chapter, "private residential swimming pool" means a receptacle for water having a water surface area of more than 100 square feet and a depth greater than twenty-four inches.

1480.02 LOCATION OF POOLS AND EQUIPMENT.

   (a)   No portion of a private residential swimming pool shall be located at a distance less than ten feet from any side yard lot line.

   (b)   No portion of a private residential swimming pool shall be located at a distance less than ten feet from any rear lot line.

   (c)   Private residential swimming pools shall be constructed in a rear yard only.

   (d)   Pumps, filters and pool water disinfection equipment installations shall be located at a distance not less than ten feet from any side or rear lot line.

   (e)   Neither the pool nor appurtenant equipment shall be permitted in the side yard between buildings.

1480.03 PLANS.

   Plans for private residential swimming pools shall accurately show:

   (a)   Dimensions and construction of the pool and appurtenances and distances to lot lines, buildings, walks and fences.

   (b)   Details of water supply systems, drainage and water disposal systems and all appurtenances pertaining to the swimming pool.
