(A) Establishment. The fire limits of the village are hereby established as follows: north on Sandusky Street from the Square to the north side of Lot 32 and extending 200 feet each way from the centerline of such street; southeast from the Square on Trux Street to the east side of Lot 9 and extending 200 feet each way from the centerline of Trux Street; south on Plymouth Street to the north line of Lot 23 and extending 200 feet each way from the centerline of Plymouth Street; west on Broadway from the Square to New Street and extending 200 feet each way from the centerline of Broadway; and on all sides of the Public Square a distance of 200 feet back from the curb lines of the Square.

(B) Frame or wooden structures prohibited; exception; roofs. Except as otherwise provided in this section, no frame or wooden building or structure shall hereafter be built within the fire limits of the village. All roofs placed upon such buildings or structures shall be constructed of noncombustible materials. Temporary one-story frame buildings for the use of builders are permitted. No frame building shall be moved from without to within the fire limits.

(C) Wall and roof construction. Every building hereafter erected, altered or enlarged within the fire limits of the village shall be enclosed on all sides with not less than eight-inch walls, constructed wholly of stone, brick, hollow tile, concrete, steel or other noncombustible three-hour fire resistive material, and shall have the roof thereof and sides of all roof structures, including dormer windows, covered with noncombustible materials.

(D) Removal of existing frame buildings. Any existing frame building within the fire limits which is hereafter damaged by fire, windstorm, decay or otherwise, to the extent of 40% of its value, exclusive of its basement and foundations, if any, shall not be repaired or rebuilt, but shall be removed.
