Each coin-operated and slot machine shall be registered with the City of Pleasanton by make, type and serial number. A tax permit issued by the city or state shall be affixed to each such registered machine. Each coin-operated and slot machine shall have a serial number, which is clearly visible on the outside surface of the machine. If a coin-operated or slot machine is not manufactured with a serial number, an owner shall assign a serial number to the machine and either stamp or engrave the assigned number on the machine.
