Each violation of any provision of this chapter shall be a fine not to exceed $200 and costs of the court as allowed by law. At the discretion of the judge who has jurisdiction over this offense, the judge may dismiss a violation under this chapter if the defendant remedies the violation within ten working days of the date of citation, upon the assessment by the judge and payment by the defendant of a special expense fee of $25 for dismissal of a violation under this chapter.
