7-8-16: WORK WITHOUT PERMIT; PENALTY:
   A.   A stop order may be issued by the city engineer directed to any person or persons doing or causing any work to be done in the public way without a permit. The abutting property owner shall be deemed responsible for causing work to be done.
   B.   Any person found to be doing work in the public way without having obtained a permit, as provided in this chapter, shall be required to pay a permit fee equal to two (2) times the normal permit fee. For replacement work, where a fee is not normally charged, the normal permit fee for new construction shall apply. (Ord. 98-14, 6-9-1998)
