7-1-4: DRIVING OR RIDING ON SIDEWALK:
It is unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle or ride any animal upon any sidewalk, except to cross a sidewalk at established crossings, or to stop any vehicle on a crosswalk so as to impede public travel. The foregoing prohibition shall not apply to a motor vehicle driven by an employee of the United States postal service or a contractor operating under license for the United States postal service, when such driver is making a mail delivery to a curbside mail box, and the vehicle is temporarily driven, for a short distance, upon the sidewalk which is not separated from the curb by a "park strip" and the driver exercises due care for the safety of pedestrians and other property lawfully upon the sidewalk.
