For the purpose of this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings:
CONTEST: A live fighting/boxing contest, match, performance, sparring match, or exhibition demonstrating the skill and ability of the contestants.
CONTESTANT: Any individual who participates in a contest.
EVENT: Any gathering of a group of ten (10) or more individuals meeting together to observe, participate in, or promote a consensual fighting/boxing contest. This definition does not include exhibitions or noncontest oriented gatherings initiated by classes sponsored by schools and other educational institutions or a duly licensed business providing fighting/boxing instruction.
EXHIBITION: A contest or engagement in which the participants show or display their skills without necessarily striving to win.
MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL: A medical doctor, paramedic and/or intermediate licensed EMT. (Ord. 2000-30, 8-1-2000)
