A. This chapter is enacted to provide for and protect the interests of city residents and visitors participating in and observing consensual fighting/boxing events by:
1. Providing crowd control;
2. Requiring safety equipment; and
3. Mandating a medical professional to be present.
B. Further, this chapter shall be construed to protect the governmental interests recognized by this chapter in a manner consistent with constitutional protections provided by the United States and Utah constitutions. (Ord. 2000-30, 8-1-2000)
