All applications for renewal of alcoholic beverage licenses shall be filed with the city at least twenty one (21) days prior to the expiration date of the then issued license. Any licensee who fails to file such application within the time limit shall cease the sale of alcoholic beverages upon the expiration of the license and until the date his new license is issued by order of the city. All renewals shall be subject to the initial licensing requirements for obtaining an alcoholic beverage license, including a current BCI dated no earlier than January of the current licensing year.
