It is hereby declared to be the intention of the mayor and city council of the city of Plano, Kendall County, Illinois, that the several provisions of this chapter and the provisions of the international energy conservation code, 2015 edition, are separable, in accordance with the following:
A. If any court of competent jurisdiction shall declare any provision hereof invalid, such ruling shall not affect any other provision of this chapter not specifically included in the said ruling.
B. If any court of competent jurisdiction shall declare invalid the application of any provision of this chapter or of the international energy conservation code, 2015 edition, to a particular property, building or other structure, such ruling shall not affect the application of said provision to any other property, building or structure not specifically included in said ruling.
