§ 53.22 APPROVAL REQUIRED.
   It shall be unlawful and it is prohibited for any electrician, owner or occupant of any premises, or any person, to turn on the electricity or to cause the electricity to be turned on connecting the wiring, installations and fixtures on any premises, or any part thereof, with the electrical distribution system of the city unless such wiring and installations and fixtures shall first have been inspected and approved by the Superintendent of the electrical distribution system of the city as being in conformity with the ordinances and regulations of the city. No electrical meter shall be installed by the electrical distribution system in any premises without the prior inspection and approval of the wiring, installations and fixtures thereon by the electrical distribution system Superintendent. In the event the electricity is turned on to any premises without the prior inspections and approval of the wiring, installations and fixtures therein by the electrical distribution system Superintendent as herein provided, then the electrical power system may cause the electrical distribution system of the city to said premises to be shut off and the electricity shall not be turned on again to said premises without the approval of the electrical distribution system Superintendent.
