(A) Purpose. The purpose of this section is to regulate compliance with posted speed limit signs directing the flow of traffic on public streets within the town for the protection of public health, safety and welfare.
(B) Enforcement.
(1) Every driver of a vehicle shall be aware of and shall not exceed the maximum speed limit designated by any posted speed limit sign.
(2) An officer of the Town Metropolitan Police Department may issue a citation for a failure to comply with a posted speed limit sign within the corporate boundaries of the town.
