§ 70.14 EXEMPTION FOR STREET MAINTENANCE VEHICLES.
   The provisions of this chapter, with the exception of §§ 76.01 and 76.11, do not apply to persons, motor vehicles, and other equipment while actually engaged in work upon the surface of the highway but shall apply to such persons and vehicles when traveling to or from such work.
