§ 52.81 WRITTEN APPROVAL REQUIRED FOR CORRECTIVE ACTION OR INSTALLATION OF PROTECTIVE DEVICE.
   Any user of water shall obtain written approval from the Water Superintendent or the Superintendent's representative before taking any proposed corrective action or installing any protective device. The total time allowed for completion of the necessary correction shall be contingent upon the degree of hazard involved and include the time required to obtain and install equipment and will be specified in the approval. If the cross-connection has not been removed within the time as hereinafter specified, the city shall, in accordance with the law, physically separate the city water supply from the on-site piping system in the manner that the two systems cannot be connected by any unauthorized person. The disconnection shall be by disconnection by the public water supply from the private water supply.
