(A) Only electrical, mechanical and plumbing devices and systems which are (i) intended to be used at the time of inspection; (ii) being used at the time of inspection; or (iii) required by law at the time of inspection are subject to the applicable portions of this chapter.
(B) Upon discovery of any possible violation related to provisions of the North Carolina Fire Code, including fire protection and life-safety systems, a referral shall be made to the Charlotte Fire Department, Fire Marshal's office for inspection and enforcement.
