§ 32.42 AUTHORITY OF GOVERNING BODY TO PROMULGATE STORAGE REGULATIONS.
   (A)   The governing body is authorized to promulgate regulations governing the construction, location, and accessibility of storage places for firearms and ammunition required to be used by this subchapter. The governing body may adopt any regulations under this authority that it believes would reasonably and effectively serve to prevent unauthorized persons from obtaining the stored firearms and ammunition.
   (B)   The governing body shall take reasonable steps to notify all persons that it can reasonably identify as being affected by these regulations. The notification shall sufficiently precede the effective date of the regulations to permit compliance with them. The town shall maintain on file an official copy of the regulations.
