§ 150.20 DUTIES OF CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL.
   The Code Enforcement Official is hereby designated as the officer to enforce this chapter and to exercise the duties and powers prescribed in this chapter. It shall be the duty of the Code Enforcement Official to:
   (A)   Investigate the conditions and inspect places of habitation located in the town in order to determine which places of habitation are unfit for human habitation and for the purpose of carrying out the objectives of this chapter with respect to such places of habitation;
   (B)   Take such action, together with other appropriate departments and agencies, public and private, as may be necessary to effect rehabilitation of housing which is deteriorated;
   (C)   Keep a record of the results of inspections made under this chapter and an inventory of those places of habitation that do not meet the minimum standards of fitness prescribed in this chapter;
   (D)   Perform such other duties as may be prescribed in this chapter; and
   (E)   Comply with the conflict of interest standards as required by G.S. § 160D-109.
