§ 32.04 POWERS AND DUTIES OF POLICE OFFICERS.
   Each police officer shall:
   (A)   Have within the corporate limits of the town, and within the territory extending three miles from the corporate limits, all of the powers vested in law enforcement by statute or common law;
   (B)   Have power to serve all civil and criminal process that may be directed to him or her by any officer of the general court of justice;
   (C)   Rigidly enforce all laws, ordinances, and regulations of the town and the state; and
   (D)   At all times preserve the peace and protect the property and the safety of the citizens of the town.
