§ 32.02 CHIEF OF POLICE.
   (A)   The Chief of Police shall be appointed by the Town Manager with regard to merit only and need not be a resident of the town at the time of his or her appointment.
   (B)   The Chief shall have control over the Police Department under the supervision and direction of the Manager. The Chief shall keep the Manager informed of the Department’s activities and make such reports that the Board of Commissioners or the Manager may from time to time require, and he or she shall perform such other duties as may be required of him or her by the Manager.
