(A) The frequency of inspections and re-inspections shall be set by the Director, and shall be made by a certified tester who has been approved to conduct inspections. Inspections shall be made of properties served by the public water supply where cross-connections with the public water supply are deemed possible.
(B) Testing of backflow prevention devices shall be made by a certified tester at the customer’s expense. Such tests are to be conducted upon installation and annually thereafter and a record of all testing and repairs is to be retained by the consumer. Copies of records must be provided to the Director within 30 days after the completion of any testing or repair work.
(C) Any time that repair to backflow devices are deemed necessary, whether through annual testing or routine inspection by the owner or by the Director, these repairs must be completed within a specified time in accordance with the degree of hazard.
