It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to add, permit to be added, sell or permit to be sold, any goods, wares or merchandise which are not a part of the subject matter, as represented, of a sale which is claimed to be the result of fire, wreck, bankruptcy, closing-out, going-out-of-business or similar circumstances. The bringing of falsely represented materials into the place where a distress sale is being or is to be held is prohibited; provided, the provisions of this section shall not apply to judicial sales.
