Any person, firm, or corporation who maintains an emergency alarm identified in § 95.01 shall compensate the city for each and every false alarm responded to by the Police and/or Fire Department over and above six false alarms in any 12-month period beginning January 1 and ending December 31. As used in this section,
FALSE ALARM means any alarm attributable to defective alarm equipment or to the occupant’s negligence, or when otherwise activated without proper cause or visible signs of unauthorized intrusion. Compensation shall amount to $25 per incident for non- residences and $10 per incident for residences, and any person, firm, or corporation subject to this section may, in addition, have the permit issued to him, her or it under § 95.01 revoked by the Chief of Police.
