Personal property which has been lost, mislaid, abandoned or stolen and which has come into the possession of this city may be disposed by the city on the basis of an application for disposal of property filed with the municipal court of this county under R.C. §§ 2981.11 through 2981.13, as those statutes may be revised and/or renumbered from time to time. In the alternative, this charter city may dispose of such property under other sections of this chapter, and/or such written internal control policy adopted relative to property approved by the Chief of Police without necessity of any court order or judicial proceeding.
