(A) Each person serving as an auxiliary police or firefighter, whose name must appear on a proper list in the custody of the Chief of the Fire Department and Chief of the Police Department, and whose services must be requested by those officers or their acting assistants, shall be paid the sum of $1.00 annually by the city for their services, and they shall be entitled to all the benefits and protection provided by law for that service.

(B) The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and direct to draw his or her warrant upon the city treasury for the payment of such service at the rate of $1.00 annually per person.
